Carmen Gran Reserva 2007 is the first vintage of "Carmen" series, is a wine made from the heart because it is dedicated to Benjamin's (the winemaker) mother. When Benjamin were building the new winery, he thought it was time to make a different wine ~ uniting modernity and tradition was born.
100% French oak barrels are used, 24 months aged in barrel and 36 months aged in bottle.
This wine is a different concept that all previous wines made in Bodega Contador. With this wine they come back to the origins of aged red wines in Rioja.
