In the 2010 vintage of La Viña de Andrés Romeo, the winery follow working with aging in 300, 500 liters barrels and the classical ones (225 L), not only to obtain an optimum balance between fruit and oak, also to achieve a slower evolution and better integration of wood. Fermentation done in Oat vats and 100% New French Oak is used for barrels. “Crianza” barrel ageing is taken for 18 months.
La Viña de Andrés Romeo 2010 is the fruit of a single vineyard, La Liende, situated on the Ebro meander across the river from the castle of San Vicente de la Sonsierra. This year will again make clear the finer character of this wine, has been improved year by year look for greater elegance. It keeps its essential character, very sweet and ripe tannin. The tempranillo grapes picked in 2010 were transferred to their own 10,000 L tapered conical vat number 3, which has been used for this wine since the first harvest.

La Vina de Andres Romeo 2010 has a very intense bright purple – garnet colour. The nose is deep with hints of ripe tempranillo variety and mineral notes. It is large, unctuous, oily and very sweet in the mouth, with a very nice finish. We could be facing one of the most interesting vintages of La Viña in the eleven years that has been developed.
