Based on the 8,300 liters of free run juice obtained, after the racking and the consequent removal of lees, shrink and the filling of barrels, the winery got 7,875 liters of La Cueva del Contador 2010 to produce 10,500 bottles of this vintage. Fermentation done in oat vats and 100% New French Oak is used for barrels. “Crianza” barrel ageing is taken for 18 months.
In this vintage 2009, vineyards were selected between 35 and 55 years old ones to develop La Cueva del Contador 2010, leading them to very well balanced production to get the fruit and tannin concentrations desired.
Bodega Contador is an iconic brand and the winemaker Benjamin Romeo is indeed very popular worldwide. His wines represent the maximum expression of the land, embraces winemaker’s full passion and attention to details.

La Cueva del Contador 2010 is bright red-purple with upper layer. The nose is very fine and deep. Highlight the red and black fruit with spicy, mineral and balsamic notes. The wood is very well integrated. In the mouth it is elegant, exotic and well balanced in terms of maturity and freshness. Final is very powerful and fine.
